The French Bakery was truly outstanding before they moved to their new location, but now...................... They are absolutely amazing! Maybe I'm partial, because Paris is one of my favorite cities, but close your eyes and take a bite of anything they prepare, and you are immediately transported to a favorite bistro in your local Paris neighborhood. The care and dedication that is given every item on their menu is typically French. If you went shortly after they opened the new location, you might have criticized the service, but service is now as warm, friendly, and accomodating as can be. Looking for fast food, go to somewhere else. Looking for lovely people, unsurpassed food, and a morning, afternoon, or evening spent chatting, eating, and truly Dining as one must to value this exceptional menu, go to the French Bakery!

I would give this 2 stars in regards to wait time. It took over 20+ minutes to get a 2 orders of crepes and 1 order of French toast. This was a little lengthy for breakfast and for a restaurant that was not terribly busy. With that being said, I would give it 4 stars on quality of food and 4 stars for attentiveness of our server. I will be back again to try out their lunch menu. Their pastry counter was beautiful!

Food was great. My favorite was the croque madam and chocolate croissant. The service was off but this could be because it is a new establishment. The coffee was good if you like strong coffee. Even though the service was not the best we look forward to trying this place again!

We stumbled on this place by accident and were so happy we did. The crepes are outstanding! The service was great and the pastries delicious!

Not cheap ... But Worth every penny. if you like to spend your money on food, this is the place to do it. Their breakfast was stupid awesome, as was their bakery. The breakfast sandwiches were to die for.

Wow. This place was awesome. chicken salad was fabulous. And peach crepe for dessert. Pam provided great service and was a hoot. Can't wait to get back.

Food was good and fresh. Service was a little slow and staff seemed distracted. Deserts are wonderful. Salads were great and fresh. Dessert crape was delicious. Meal ended up costing more than expected. In summary, food quality was good, service so-so and value average.

I remember loving this little French bakery on a trip to HH back in 2012. When we returned to HH on a more recent trip, I was sad to see that the restaurant no longer existed in Pineland Station. So, when stumbling on this new location, I was pleasantly surprised to see this place is still alive and well, and newly improved in a completely new, beautiful location. We came across this place on a random bike excursion, having no idea it relocated. It's tucked away on the backside of an outdoor shopping plaza, so you'd never know it was there. I quickly recognized Ellie, as she used to work at the old location, and was so excited this was their new location because I've always loved their Riviera quiche!! They also offer a more expanded menu including crepes and French toast, as well as wait service, so it's now a full-on, full service restaurant. We visited in late September, and we experienced great service, despite all the other reviews I saw about bad service. Our waiter was extremely attentive and friendly. Glad to know this place is still around because it's one of best little places for breakfast when you are visiting Hilton Head. Definitely give this place a try!!!

Food is still great! But service is TERRIBLE! Also, hours on website, yelp, and google search are ALL DIFFERENT!! After looking at website (which says they are open 7am to 7pm), me and my 6 year old daughter biked 4 miles to get a treat (pretty far for an exhausted kid). We got there at 6pm and were welcomed by a big fat CLOSED sign. Please update your info so that it is all the same! Oh and please get better service!!

I want to give it four stars because the food was excellent. We walked in with four people and every employee looked at each other as if they didn't know what to do. Finally after some confusion if we were going to be seated, we got seated in a high rise table inside. The service is what this place is lacking. We waited ten minutes before anyone asked us what we wanted to drink. One thing to beware is that breakfast stops being served at 11, which is odd especially since most places stop at 12. I wish we knew that before coming here for breakfast at 11:30. Otherwise the food is great and the atmosphere is nice.

Friendly, albeit slow service. Food was tasty - I had savory crepes Provençal and hubs had quiche. We were hoping for breakfast, but they had already stopped serving it. They serve crepes and quiche all day, though. Overall, average experience. Nothing really stood out as exceptional.

Well, it was ridiculously expensive there; but everything was exceptionally tasty. So I guess another words, as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for." I will have to go back another time with a pile of money and try more pastries!

Ah, French Bakery! When you were in Pineland Station, I loved you as the best bakery on the Island. The pastries. Impeccable. Service, good as you could in the tight space. Now, a new location. New hours. And, you lost something in the move. Service. The taste and and quality are still top notch. In terms of quality, still the best. The new space is nice. But it took two attempts after we paid to get our order correct. They asked us and the customer behind us multiple times what we ordered. Two iced coffees? There was no coordination between workers , and there was no sense of urgency to get customers served. Worse is that they run out of pastries & baked goods early in the day. Why be open late if you don't have your signature product? Disappointed that you try to sell out so early. So, go early and do not expect top quality service. Service is free, so I really think try can do better. Sorry , French Bakery, but I lost my undying affection and commitment because you couldn't get my order straight.

After giving this place three tries, I have finally given up. Once again I have waited over an hour from sitting time to being served--for a cup of soup and a sandwich. 2 out of the 3 times when I went, there were barely any tables full. There's no reason it should take so long. It's a shame because the food is good and it's so unique to the island. My suggestion is that if you are interested in trying this place out, just get a bakery item at the counter to go--do not sit down to eat.

I just have the best burger EVER! I was craving a burger but I didn't think i could have it on a French baguette oh my.... So good. Macaroons are to die for! My hubby had a grilled chicken sandwich with olive and herbs bread the best!.
